Letter to President-Elect Obama, Final Wishes Planner and the Five Wishes Booklet

I’ve added 2 more sites under Miscellaneous Final  Wishes Planner and the 5 Wishes Booklet.

In my excitement of getting to drive again, I forgot to mention yesterday that the Dr. wants me to watch a lot of TV. For a minute, it caught me by surprise since this was considered a waste of time when I grew up. But he explained that by watching an hour long program, a movie or anything with a story, forces the brain to be able to follow along and keep up with without losing focus or memory. I guess talk shows don’t count. Smile, smile. That’s OK with me. And soaps are out for me too.

Susan Berg, author of “Adorable Photographs of Our Baby-Meaningful Mind Stimulating Activities and More for the Memory Challenged, Their Loved Ones and Involved Professionals” wrote the following:

Caregivers-Send President Obama a Message about Alzheimer’s

Caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as you know, every 71 seconds, someone in America develops Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia or a combination of both.
You also know that Alzheimer’s disease as well as other dementias, will destroy the memories of 1 in 8 of the baby boomers in our country. They will also lose their independencea and their lives as they know them. There are 78 million baby boomers.
You may already know someone with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia      In order to find a cure, money must be allocated for Alzheimer’s research. President Obama must be made acutely aware of this.
You can help do this by endorsing this letter to him.
